Role OverviewThe Manager, Fleet Operations for Italy, Spain & Portugal, part of a global team, oversees the company's car program—an essential benefit for eligible employees and a key component of our commercial organization.
Responsibilities include managing fleet activities, reporting, analytics, cost reduction initiatives, process improvements, project management, and external supplier coordination.
The role requires collaboration with global category leaders and various internal partners (Finance, HR, Safety, Sustainability).
Reporting directly to the Senior Manager Fleet Operations EMEA, this position emphasizes analytics and operational excellence.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport company initiatives like cost reduction, EV adoption by 2040, and policy guidelines.Develop and review local policies; identify process improvements based on analytics, feedback, and trends.Monitor external market trends; lead integration of new fleet suppliers in collaboration with procurement and legal teams.Review and negotiate supplier contracts to optimize support and costs.Ensure data consistency across teams; manage invoice processes and supplier payments.Build and maintain the Car List aligned with safety, environmental, and budget goals, benchmarking externally.Identify cost-saving opportunities; build business cases for process enhancements.Lead projects on environmental compliance and change management.Support stakeholders on fleet-related initiatives aligned with BMS goals.Reports & AnalyticsMaintain departmental scorecards and KPIs.Prepare annual and quarterly fleet budgets; produce reports for various stakeholders.Generate management reports and conduct business reviews with fleet providers.Assist drivers with legal and tax compliance related to company cars.Operational ManagementServe as the primary contact for internal stakeholders on fleet matters.Manage relationships with work councils, ensuring fleet operations align with employee interests and regulations.Coordinate external vendors for daily fleet support.Act as escalation point for fleet issues; oversee fleet inbox management.Collaborate on category management, including mobility solutions.Address user feedback; oversee maintenance, accident repairs, and safety training.Coordinate vehicle onboarding and offboarding processes.Manage external vendors for fines, tolls, parking, and accident reporting.Monitor external mobility trends and employee needs; collaborate on local projects.Supplier & Performance ManagementAnalyze market and supplier performance; support supplier management activities.Review contracts for insights; support issue resolution with analytics.Minimum QualificationsB.S.
/ B.A.Fluent in English and at least Italian and/or Spanish.At least 5 years of relevant business experience.2-4 years in fleet management or related fields (procurement, finance, HR); experience with data analysis and visualization tools.Experience in a global services environment; cross-functional collaboration skills.Knowledge of procurement, contract management, financial analysis, and supply chain strategies.Bristol Myers Squibb is an equal opportunity employer.
