Overview

SHG operates over 81 venues in 25 countries with a commitment to deliver authentic and diverse hospitality experiences that bring people together, all around the world. We are looking for a visionary and experienced Head Chef with a strong background in Italian cuisine for the opening of Casa METT Sitges. This role will lead our gastronomic operations, with a particular focus on developing and managing our new restaurant concept (Italian premium/fine dining), while also overseeing all other F&B; outlets within the hotel.
Main responsibilities:
- Lead the conceptualization, creation, and launch of a new Italian premium/fine dining restaurant, together with the entire gastronomic offer of the hotel for the other F&B; outlets.
- Design and implement menus that reflect the region’s culinary identity with a modern and fresh twist.
- Oversee the daily operations of all F&B; outlets in the hotel.
- Manage kitchen staff, recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance.
- Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and innovation across all outlets.
- Control kitchen costs through effective budgeting, inventory management, and supplier negotiation.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate closely with hotel management, F&B;, and marketing teams to ensure an outstanding guest experience.
Qualifications
- Previous Experience as Head Chef in a premium/fine dining environment in hotels or standalone restaurants.
- Deep knowledge and passion for Italian and Mediterranean cuisine, with the ability to innovate while respecting tradition.
- Experience managing multi-outlet operations is a plus.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- High standards in food presentation, hygiene, and quality control.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
- Fluent in Spanish and high-intermediate level in English.
