The Opportunity
As part of TMC's Finance department, you will partner with management to guide financial decisions, manage costs, and support new services and projects. We seek a Controlling Lead to oversee our internal Controlling department, which spans all company departments: Financial, Medical, Sales, Operations, etc. You will manage a team of four and handle functional BI areas. You will be the primary reference for managers across the company, supporting day-to-day financial data needs and partnering on Budget / Forecasting and process efficiencies. Additionally, you will act as the point of contact for official reporting to Unilabs HQ, including monthly management reports and Budget / Forecasting processes.
Mission and Organisational Context
The Controlling Lead in the Finance Department, based in Barcelona, will report to the CFO. They will provide information for internal (TMC CEO, departments) and external (Unilabs) decisions, assess economic impacts of initiatives, and suggest actions. This position is located at Torre Mapfre in Barcelona, with occasional travel for projects and requires working from the office at least three days a week.
Role and Responsibilities
1. Coordinate and submit the monthly Management Reporting:
* Monthly Package to Unilabs (MD&A)
* Monthly BU Reporting
* Monthly Medical Reporting
1. Data Analytics Strategy:
* Define and create a data warehouse for TMC
* Define and create BI Tools / strategy to share data across departments
2. Define Company Dashboards and KPI Planning Process:
* Coordinate and report the Budget and Forecast process
* Submit planning information requested by Unilabs HQ
3. Support Operations / Market on Capacity and Demand Planning to ensure TMC has the optimal process and tools for GAP analysis
4. Support Commercial Team:
* Coordinate New Deals Approval process: Unilabs approval process, Offer Calculation
* Profitability analysis and recommendations
* Business Plan for new services
5. Support Medical Team:
* Supervise Monthly Medical KPI
* Support on the Rad Unit Review
6. Unilabs Coordination:
* Ensure policies and templates are used for Reporting and data gathering
* Define and review internal transfer pricing between TMC and other Unilabs companies
* Calculate and Report synergies / CLS projects for TMC
7. Other Tasks:
* Analyze operating costs by country and sector, recommend actions to increase profitability
* Coordinate and manage Controlling Team
Required Experience, Knowledge, Skills
* Controlling experience – at least 5 years in a controlling department
* People Management – experience managing small teams
* Analytics – strong reporting and financial skills, data modelling
* Project Management – managing complex projects
* MS Office – strong proficiency
* Educational background – finance-related degree (Economics, Business Administration)
* Excellent communicator and multi-tasker, capable of managing data flow between departments
* Language skills – very fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken)
