Job Title HPC Field Support Engineer (Eviden)
Location Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. Candidate must be located within a short commute of the customer Data Centre in Barcelona and will be expected to work onsite everyday.
What You’ll Be Doing
Installing, configuring and supporting some of the most important HPC systems for our customers.
Supporting one of Eviden’s most important HPC customers in their use of Eviden HPC solution.
Gaining exposure to the entire HPC lifecycle, implementing latest technologies and supporting them through their life-cycle.
Responsible for hardware parts replacement and Level 1 system software support.
Representing Eviden within the customer account and acting as interface between the customer and Eviden’s backline support organization.
Essential Skills
Hands on experience of building or maintaining computer equipment.
Knowledge and experience of using Linux.
Shell scripting.
Understanding of networking and network security.
Technical aptitude and interest in computing engineering.
Inquisitive mindset and a fast learner, motivated to progress.
Out-of-the-box thinking to solve problems innovatively.
Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal – to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences.
Confident communicating with technical stakeholders at all levels.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Able to win trust and build relationships.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
