Key Areas of Responsibility and Tasks
The Nordic & Baltic Digital Sales Manager is a strategic growth market for our Corporate business. We are seeking a seasoned leader with the ability to articulate a vision for growth and the proven ability to build a followership to achieve it.
As a people manager, you are responsible for supporting the success of not only your direct reports, but the success of all employees within the larger team by helping to identify development opportunities and supporting team members to achieve their individual, team goals and revenue targets. You are expected to know about your team members and share insights with your peers. Look for opportunities to coach and recognize employees directly and provide just-in-time feedback for immediate reflection and growth.
The Digital Sales Manager is responsible for building and leading a world-class Digital Sales team supporting SAP’s revenue, market penetration, and growth strategies.
Sales Strategy
* Communicates SAP’s overall Commercial Sales Strategy internally and externally.
* Works with Market Unit/Regional Digital Midmarket Sales Leaders to build the strategy, models, and features of the Digital Sales route-to-market for the assigned region to maximize impact and scalability while ensuring market needs are met.
* Drives implementation of processes for Lead Generation, Demand Generation, and Deal Execution in collaboration with Marketing, Digital Hub Leaders, Sales Operations, Partners, LOB/Solutions, and other stakeholders to overachieve sales quotas.
* Supports the evolution of the Digital Sales Strategy in line with SAP’s GTM strategy, promoting Digital Sales as a self-sufficient route to market and a Centre of Excellence for digital activities, providing incremental revenue, optimized coverage, agility, and lower costs with a focus on solution specialization.
* Aligns vision and execution strategy with Board/MD direction, inspiring and motivating teams.
* Generates competitive advantage through market needs insight, developing new revenue streams.
Build, Develop, and Motivate the Team
* Builds and leads a world-class Digital Sales Team responsible for driving SAP’s revenue with partners in the General Business segment, utilizing digital tools for Social, Video, and Content.
* Manages and motivates a team from new hires to seasoned professionals, aiming to meet sales goals and improve sales readiness.
* Coaches and develops individuals to maximize results, sets performance expectations, provides development opportunities, and recognizes achievements.
* Acts as a role model, sharing passion for success, growing the business, and delivering value to customers.
* Delivers incremental new customer acquisitions and revenue.
* Collaborates with partners to maximize growth potential.
Drive Revenue and Business Growth
* Develops and executes a competitive sales business plan to ensure consistent revenue and market growth.
* Manages budgets and allocates resources considering territory potential and channel capacity, reviewing regularly.
* Conducts business reviews, forecast calls, and shares best practices globally and regionally.
* Oversees pipeline management to meet sales targets.
* Implements sales initiatives and campaigns in collaboration with marketing and stakeholders to accelerate pipeline and revenue.
Relationship Management
* Builds and maintains relationships with key teams and partners to drive strategic priorities.
* Inspires and influences stakeholders, removing obstacles and supporting goal achievement, including sponsorship of key deals.
* Ensures successful program rollouts in key markets with internal units and partners.
* Shares best practices across teams.
Deal Support
* Supports top deals and complex sales requiring seniority and solution knowledge.
* Represents the business for senior management attention and support.
* Proactively manages customer/partner escalations to maintain satisfaction and secure future business.
Experience & Educational Requirements
* Minimum 8 years of software/ACV Digital or Field Sales experience with deal closure responsibilities.
* Minimum 3 years of Digital Sales or field/partner sales management experience, preferably in enterprise software.
* Experience in sales coaching.
Mid-Market sales experience required; field sales experience is an advantage.
* Experience working in matrix or cross-functional organizations and managing multiple stakeholders across the sales cycle is advantageous.
* Experience with Net New Name and IB sales.
* Business-level English required; local language skills are desirable.
Professional Training & Certification
* Experience with sales methodologies like Sandler, MEDDIC, Challenger, etc., is desirable.
