The Local Sales Manager will take part in the execution of a Commercial & Sales strategy that will contribute to the achievement of Viking general objectives and more specifically to the profitable growth objectives in your territory within Spain. You will be responsible for the sales of all our products (focused on special hazards) to the fire contractors in the area /customers assigned to you. Your duties include account management, business development as well as networking in the engineering/ building community and supporting local industry related organizations.
You will have the following objectives:
Responsible for the sales performance of area/customers assigned to you Enforce Viking S.A.’s local presence by managing and supporting the company’s mission and policies in order to build up strong and trustful relationships with customer and stakeholders (end users, governmental authorities, building/industrial/fire protection lobbies) Provide valuable local market input and work with the central functions (e.g. Credit department) to optimize the sales Work and interact with vertical function for special hazard applications (Foam, Gas, Detection teams). Continuously improve and optimize the sales of your area at sales, margin, product mix and cost levels Provide local market information to the central teams Work together with the local team to reach the annual sales of your location and company targets Define the strategies for local business following the guidelines, goals and targets received from your Manager Check daily reports and act accordingly Additional tasks upon request from the Local Operations Manager or Customer Service Manager EMEA
Location / Traveling:
You are ideally based in Madrid and working from home is partially possible as well. The position requires travelling up to 80% of the working time conducting planned customer meetings and other business meetings within your sales territory and/or elsewhere in Europe (occasionally).
Reporting Line:
The Local Sales Manager will report to the Regional Team Leader.
Qualifications and experience:
At least 5 years of sales and /or business development working with systems like fire protection, fire suppression, Detection, BMS, HVAC, pumps, with track proven record In-depth
knowledge of fire protection products and systems Understanding of fire contracting business Proven sales skills, experiences and network Spanish and English language speaking, writing, understanding at upper intermediate level Personal characteristics:
