About the Role
Lead high‑impact Medical Affairs strategy for global biopharma clients, collaborating with cross‑functional teams and reporting directly to the CEO.
Key Responsibilities
- Medical Affairs Strategy Design & Planning – Co‑create and lead end‑to‑end Medical Affairs strategies aligned with brand, medical, and functional plans; develop structured strategic frameworks and playbooks translating scientific and business priorities into execution; act as a strategic advisor to senior stakeholders ensuring cross‑functional alignment.
- Insight Generation & Strategic Integration – Lead structured insight generation ecosystems (e.g., Advisory Boards, expert interactions, digital tools), ensuring robust and continuous insight collection; translate insights into clear strategic recommendations that directly inform brand and medical decision‑making.
- Evidence Translation & Field Enablement – Translate clinical and real‑world evidence into actionable scientific narratives, data packages, and field toolkits; enable in‑field and global teams to deliver consistent, high‑impact scientific engagement, bridging the gap between data and execution; ensure compliance with integral regulatory standards (EFPIA and equivalents).
- KOL Engagement & External Scientific Leadership – Build and manage a global KOL ecosystem, fostering long‑term, high‑value scientific relationships; represent the company externally as a senior scientific leader and trusted partner.
- Congress & Scientific Events Strategy – Lead the strategic planning and execution of congresses, symposia, and scientific events, ensuring strong scientific positioning; ensure effective post‑event insight capture, competitive intelligence, and dissemination to maximize strategic impact.
- Scientific Education, Communication & Content Excellence – Oversee the development of high‑quality scientific content and communication across formats; ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance while driving innovation in scientific communication.
- Training & Capability Building – Design and deliver medical training programs for internal teams and in‑field roles; equip teams with the knowledge, tools, and capabilities required to execute effectively and engage stakeholders with confidence.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or related field (PhD/MD preferred).
- Extensive experience in Medical Affairs within pharma, MedTech, or healthcare consulting.
- Proven track record managing senior client relationships at a global level.
- Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate science into business impact.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and complex international projects.
- Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance standards.
- Fluency in English (and preferably Spanish) with excellent communication and presentation skills.
