Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a
Regional Sales Manager North West Europe / Iberia
to join our team in Madrid, Spain.
Job SummaryThe Regional Sales Manager will maximise the exposure of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts (WHR) franchised hotels of all brands within their territory. They will focus on developing sales opportunities, managing customer accounts, and driving contribution to hotels within their region(s).
The region is North West Europe / Iberia, with a focus on Iberia and the UK. The manager will create opportunities to manage and develop existing National and Regional Accounts while developing new business across all market segments to enhance contribution to a defined set of hotels.
This role requires a proactive sales approach, partnering with clients and travel intermediaries to deliver incremental revenue and increased market share for hotels, franchise partners, and WHR.
The manager will work to meet or exceed annual revenue goals by:
Devising and implementing sales plans for top clients.
Negotiating and contracting rates with key clients across segments within the designated region.
Managing group leads and RFP solicitations via Wyndham Sales Systems.
Achieving targets based on revenue, room nights, RFP acceptances, and other relevant metrics.
Conducting an average of 25+ sales appointments or calls monthly.
ResponsibilitiesSales Account Management & New Business Development :
Identify and secure new accounts within the territory, building a robust pipeline with revenue and room night targets by segment:
Corporate Transient Business (RFP & TMC)
Group / MICE Business (GSO Sales Leads)
Leisure groups & FIT (Tour Operators & Agencies)
Develop strategic partnerships with key leisure tour operators, corporate clients, travel agencies, and MICE companies to drive business.
Devise strategies to maximise hotel revenue and contribute to EMEA targets.
Franchisee Relations :
Collaborate with franchise and management partners, visiting hotels and educating them on WHR tools.
Internal Relations & Systems :
Work with colleagues across WHR units, utilizing business tools to achieve goals.
Industry Participation :
Represent WHR at industry events and become active in relevant associations.
Self-Development :
Continuously update knowledge and skills to stay relevant and prepare for future roles.
Complexity
Drive significant revenue into WHR brands within an agreed territory.
Manage accounts independently with minimal supervision.
Work mainly remotely, responsible for new and existing accounts.
Scope / Financial ResponsibilityResponsible for a portfolio of accounts and business development, with annual revenue goals and participation in incentive plans. Manage expenses within budgets and review ROI for business trips and marketing opportunities, submitting monthly expense reports.
Abilities / Key Competencies / Skills
Strong sales knowledge in hospitality within the territory.
Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
Ability to work independently and in teams.
Flexible, adaptable to change, and capable of managing multiple priorities under pressure.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Integrity, professionalism, and good judgment.
Experience / Certificates / Education
Degree or equivalent experience in hospitality or related fields.
Extensive hotel sales experience.
Multi-segment knowledge preferred.
Local driving license preferred.
Fluency in English essential;
Spanish as an advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hospitality sales systems.
