OUR NEXT COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER Understands the critical role of communications in propelling cutting-edge collaborative research for better and more equitable health outcomes. Has a track record in implementing communications and dissemination tactical plans, showing advanced knowledge of the tools and techniques required to produce engaging (digital) campaigns. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Contribute to the design of communication and dissemination strategies and annual tactical plans in line with research projects’ objectives and tailored to a wide diversity of audiences. 2. Ensure high quality implementation of annual plans, guaranteeing consistency in terms of branding, messaging and frequency of posting via digital channels. 3. Act as the main point of contact for communications activities, ensuring alignment and coordination with all partners. 4. Coordinate the production and design of communication materials (websites, newsletters, infographics, videos, podcasts, social media posts, toolkits, etc) making sure these comply with projects’ guidelines, branding and style. Liaise with external providers. 5. Write and optimise content for websites, digital newsletters, print publications and social media. 6. Collate and monitor KPI s. 7. In permanent dialogue with diverse research teams across Europe, identify science-based newsworthy stories within our project portfolio and ensure adequate, broad dissemination across diverse audiences. 8.Develop narrative guidelines and lead the conceptualisation of dissemination materials in different formats (articles, whitepapers, podcasts, animated-infographics, videos, case studies, etc) in close collaboration with researchers. 9.Create, edit or proof-read written editorial content (websites, newsletters, print publications and social media) following highest quality and grammatical standards. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in a life-sciences related field. Master in Scientific, Corporate or Digital Communications. Demonstrable digital media skills and good working knowledge of Adobe and Microsoft packages. Native speaker or highly proficient in English (oral and written). Fluent in Spanish. Demonstrable experience of 1-2 years in a similar position. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a keen eye for detail, ability to work autonomously, proactive and with high-quality standards. An interest in health-related topics. Knowledge about EU funded research desirable but not mandatory. WE OFFER Full-time position in a thriving, forward thinking organisation.
