The organisation develops advanced platforms supporting target identification and early-stage therapeutic discovery, enabling pharmaceutical companies, biotech organisations, and CROs to accelerate research and improve decision-making.
As part of its European commercial expansion, the company is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new customer engagement and open strategic partnerships across the pharma and CRO ecosystem.
The RoleThis is a high-impact commercial role focused on opening doors, building relationships, and generating new business opportunities across pharmaceutical companies, biotech organisations, and Contract Research Organisations (CROs) throughout Europe.
You will act as a key ambassador for the company, introducing innovative discovery solutions to scientific and R&D leadership teams and developing long-term strategic collaborations.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities across pharma, biotech, and CRO markets in Europe
Proactively open new accounts and build relationships with decision-makers in drug discovery and translational research teams
Drive early-stage commercial conversations around target identification and discovery solutions
Develop and execute territory and account engagement strategies
Manage the full business development cycle from prospecting through opportunity creation
Collaborate with technical and scientific teams to shape customer solutions
Represent the company at industry conferences and partnering events
Build strategic CRO partnerships to expand commercial reach
Your Background
Proven experience in business development, commercial partnerships, or strategic sales within life sciences
Strong network within pharma, biotech, or CRO environments
Understanding of drug discovery workflows, particularly early discovery or target identification
Experience opening new accounts and generating pipeline from scratch
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Comfortable operating in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment
Preferred Experience
Exposure to AI-driven drug discovery, computational biology, or bioinformatics platforms
Experience selling scientific services, platforms, or discovery solutions
Existing relationships with European CROs or discovery research organisations
Scientific background (MSc/PhD) advantageous but not essential
