Responsibilities
- Define and standardize best practices for AI‑assisted coding, including generation, refactoring, testing, and documentation.
- Create playbooks, reusable patterns, and prompt libraries that elevate engineering productivity and consistency.
- Partner with development teams to build their first applications using AI‑assisted workflows.
- Review and guide AI‑generated code to ensure maintainability, architectural alignment, and high engineering quality.
- Evaluate and integrate AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot or AI‑assisted IDEs.
- Embed AI into the development lifecycle, including IDE integrations, CI/CD, and code review workflows.
- Establish governance, quality standards, and human‑in‑the‑loop validation to ensure responsible use of AI.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of software engineering experience with production‑grade delivery.
- Hands‑on experience using AI coding tools in real engineering projects.
- Experience mentoring or technically guiding other engineers.
- Understanding of modern software architecture (APIs, distributed systems, frontend frameworks).
- Strong foundation in testing, performance, maintainability, and clean code.
- Solid grasp of prompt engineering principles, validation patterns, and the limitations of LLM‑generated code.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, developer workflows, and code quality tooling.
- Understanding of secure coding practices, compliance, and licensing considerations.
What Our Client Is Looking For
- Deep understanding of machine learning fundamentals
- Experience deploying LLMs in production (prompting, agent workflows, retrieval pipelines, evals, etc.)
- Knowledge of LLM inference techniques (KV caching, speculative/parallel decoding, etc.)
- Strong programming skills in Python + one of C++, Java or .NET
- SQL experience
- Experience with Azure or AWS
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- An entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action
- Ability to manage AI projects end‑to‑end
- Financial services experience is a plus (not essential)
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or similar from a reputable university
