Overview Assistant Project Manager (at the rank of Executive Officer) in the General Office, School of Public Health (Ref.: ******) – University of Hong Kong.

The appointee will support the Communications and Public Relations Team in the General Office of the School in planning and execution of events including international conferences. This individual will support the team in all aspects of an event lifecycle, from initial strategy and sponsorship acquisition to on-site logistics and post-event analysis.
Responsibilities Assist Organization Committee in planning, liaison, budgeting, event execution, and completion of conference reports.
Support committee scheduling and meetings, prepare documents, work plans, and progress reports.
Liaise with existing and potential partners to secure sponsorship.
Work with internal units and external vendors such as international organizations, consultants, sponsors, hotels, media partners, and event management companies.
Support the development and execution of programming, conference sessions, social events, networking activities, etc.
Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans and strategies to drive conference registration.
Speakers and VIP liaison, logistics and travel arrangements support.
Support manpower planning and supervise onsite service providers to ensure smooth delivery.
Gather and analyse post-event data, including attendance figures and satisfaction surveys; prepare detailed post-event reports with key metrics and recommendations.
Undertake any other duties assigned.
Qualifications And Qualities Possess a good bachelor's degree or equivalent, with a major in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or Hospitality preferred.
Have at least 3–5 years of full-time work experience in exhibition, event management, marketing, PR & communications, business development, or a related field; a proven record in managing international conferences or large-scale events will be an advantage.
Have excellent writing, proofreading, and editing skills in English and Chinese.
Strong IT proficiency in website content management systems, graphic design, and video production. Knowledge of software for multimedia production preferred.
Strong project management and event management skills, and proficiency in digital marketing.
Be mature, organised, meticulous and responsible; demonstrate good interpersonal, problem-solving and organizational skills.
Be able to multitask under pressure, work well independently and in a team, and work with people from diverse nationalities and backgrounds.
What We Offer The appointment will be made on a fixed-term basis for 2 years, to commence as soon as possible. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
