DevOps Engineer Lead Expert

Summary
A Senior DevOps Engineer is required to support a long-term strategic initiative focused on document understanding technologies. The role involves designing, implementing, and operating secure, scalable, and automated infrastructure solutions across cloud and containerized environments. You will collaborate closely with development teams in an Agile/Scrum framework to ensure reliable deployments and efficient delivery cycles. The position is fully remote from Spain with mandatory monthly workshops in Madrid (travel and accommodation not covered).
Main Responsibilities & Key Activities
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
Develop and automate Infrastructure-as-Code for scalable cloud and on-prem environments.
Manage and monitor Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters.
Oversee Docker-based containerization and optimize deployment workflows.
Resolve pull-request conflicts and ensure smooth integration of development changes.
Implement monitoring, logging, and security best practices.
Collaborate closely with development teams to optimize performance and reliability.
Participate in Scrum ceremonies and support demo sessions.
Experience Required
At least 7 years of relevant DevOps engineering experience.
Strong experience with CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and cloud operations.
Proven hands-on work with AWS, Azure, and OpenShift.
Expert-level understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, and scripting (Python, Bash).
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum ways of working.
AI-related knowledge is a strong plus.
Experience with React/JavaScript is a plus (not mandatory).
High autonomy and strong communication skills.
