Role Overview As an AWS Cloud Engineer with a Database specialization, you will be responsible for the reliability, performance, and lifecycle management of cloud databases running on AWS.Your primary focus will be Oracle Database@AWS environments, including high availability, disaster recovery, performance optimization, and database automation. You will collaborate closely with application teams, platform engineers, and security teams to ensure robust and compliant database operations.Key Responsibilities AWS Cloud OperationsOperate AWS platform components supporting database workloadsAutomate database provisioning and operations using Terraform and scriptingParticipate in incident, problem, and change management processesDatabase AdministrationManage and operate Oracle Database@AWS instancesManage and operate Amazon RDS instances (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, etc.)Configure and maintain high availability, failover mechanisms, and replicationDesign and validate backup and restore strategiesPerform database performance analysis and query optimizationConduct capacity planning and database upgradesImplement database security controls, including encryption, RBAC, and auditingSupport development teams with database migrations and schema changesWork with security teams to ensure database compliance and hardeningSkills & Experience Several years of experience as a Database Administrator or Cloud Database EngineerStrong expertise with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server)Hands-on experience with AWS RDS and Amazon AuroraExperience with Terraform and infrastructure automationStrong knowledge of database performance tuning and HA/DR architecturesExperience working in regulated or security-sensitive environmentsWhat's great about working with us: Culture and diversity: Join a people oriented environment with different nationalities and a great team spirit, flat hierarchies (everyone speaks to everyone).
