Overview Agilent is seeking a results-oriented Collection Specialist to join our Global Credit & Collections team in Barcelona. If you have strong financial skills, a talent for communication, and enjoy solving problems, this role is designed for you.
You will be responsible for managing customer relationships, resolving post-sale issues, and clarifying payment discrepancies for our French clients—mainly via phone and email. Maintaining accurate account records, prompt follow-up on payment reminders, and ensuring all actions comply with Agilent’s policies are key aspects of the job.
This position covers a portfolio of up to $10 million, with direct influence on Agilent’s financial performance through reduced overdue invoices and improved payment behaviors.
Responsibilities Manage customer relationships and resolve post-sale issues for French clients via phone and email.
Clarify payment discrepancies and maintain accurate account records.
Promptly follow up on payment reminders and ensure compliance with Agilent’s policies.
Handle a portfolio up to $10 million with aim to reduce overdue invoices and improve payment behavior.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, or related field; strong Excel skills.
Native-level fluency in French and English; Italian proficiency is a plus.
Experience in the French market and international work background preferred.
Customer service experience is required; credit collections experience is a plus.
Personal attributes Problem solving / analytical skills, eagerness to learn about new software, instruments, applications, and consumables. Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work both in a team and autonomously.
