Industrial Project Planning Engineer
to join our
Engineering
team for our new projects in
Sagunto. Our
Engineering
department takes responsibility for supporting our Volkswagen Group partners in projects within diverse industries and areas such as industrialization, layout design, fire protection, civil, electrical, mechanical and process engineering. This role combines project planning, technical evaluation, and hands-on on-site support, providing a unique opportunity to work closely with suppliers, clients, and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of complex industrial projects. Responsibilities
Support planning activities, including request management, tender documentation, and schedule communication using tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6, and SAP PS/PM. Conduct technical evaluations and benchmarking of supplier offers, ensuring compliance with project specifications. Facilitate layout planning, installation feasibility studies, and maintenance concept development using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software. Support change management and product updates using PLM tools (Teamcenter, Windchill). Provide on-site technical support at supplier and client facilities, including FAT, installation checks, and acceptance testing. Represent the client’s operational interests, ensuring project requirements and timelines are met. Prepare and organize technical documentation for certification, compliance, and operational handover. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to exchange technical expertise and align on project objectives. Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering. Experience in project planning, operations, or production engineering. Strong knowledge of planning tools, CAD software, CMMS, and PLM systems. Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with multicultural teams. Willingness to travel for on-site support at both supplier and client locations. What We Can Offer
