**Position Summary**:
As part of our tomato breeding group, we are looking for a Tomato Breeder with vision, experience and passion, to contribute to the development of our tomato portfolio. We are looking for a MSc or Ph. D in Plant Breeding with 5 years of demonstrated working experience in Vegetable Crops Breeding.
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Lead, execute and optimize our tomato breeding programs by using the appropriate breeding methodologies and breeding technology tools to achieve the company goals (provide customers with high performance tomato varieties).
- Propose, implement and assess breeding strategies according to available resources and budget.
- Interact and communicate effectively and regularly with members of other breeding groups, laboratories and farm teams.
- Participate and contribute to research project teams when relevant for the breeding goals or target markets.
- Set up Tomato trials in our breeding stations and with customers, working jointly with Fito’s development teams.
- Work worldwide in close collaboration with the commercial teams to promote varieties and organize successful market introductions.
- Identify promising results from different fields of research and integrate them into the breeding program.
- Translate market requirements and future needs along with Marketing and Sales into breeding goals to generate successful new products.

**Requirements**:
**Education and Experience required**:
- MSc or Ph.D. in Plant Breeding or relevant fields
- At least five years of working experience in commercial plant breeding, preferably in Solanaceae crop.
- Demonstrated experience in Vegetable Crops Breeding.
- Good communication skills and, ability to communicate and collaborate with colleagues at all levels.
- Spanish and English as a working language (written and verbal is required). Other languages are an advantage.
**Other Requirements**:
- Willingness to change permanent residence to Spain, in Almería.
- Willingness to travel frequently, national, and international.
