We’re looking for a Senior / Lead-level Game Artist to join us as we scale a high-energy casual game. This is a role for someone who cares about strong visual identity, clear game readability, and raising the quality bar as the product — and the team — grows.
Your Superpowers (aka Responsibilities)
* Hands-On Art Creation: Create concepts and final assets for the game with the highest quality bar.
* Market Research & Concepts: Stay on top of trends and player preferences.
* Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with design, dev, and product to align art with gameplay.
The Ideal Hero (aka Requirements)
* Hands-on Artist: A strong individual contributor who also brings strategic visual direction to the team. You own a feature or area end-to-end visually — and you still like making the assets yourself.
* Strong 2D + 3D production skills: Proven ability to create game-ready assets (rendered models, illustrations, icons, concept-to-final execution) suited to mobile casual.
* Expert in 3D and 2D Art: Solid background in creating assets for mobile games, be it rendered models, illustrations, or concept art.
* Unity is a daily tool, not a checkbox: Day-to-day experience with implementing and optimizing the assets — you know your URPs and prefab variants.
* Proven Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing mobile game art and visual work.
* Tool proficiency: Strong command of relevant tools (e.g., Photoshop + Blender/3ds Max or equivalents; you know your pipeline and can deliver reliably).
* Taste + Market Awareness: Track mobile trends and competitor references, translate them into actionable concepts that fit the product (player-first, data-aware, not “art for art’s sake”).
* Ability to balance visual polish with usability, performance, and gameplay clarity.
* Feedback connosieur: Comfortable giving and receiving feedback, and collaborating across disciplines.
Nice to have:
* Unity animation/VFX basics: Simple animations and effects (Tweens, Animators, and Particle System mean something to you).
* Mobile-casual production experience: Live-ish content cadence, lots of small iterations, fast turnaround without breaking consistency.
* Light tech-art sensibility: Basic shader/material tuning, render/texture optimization instincts, UI performance awareness.
* AI-assisted art workflows: Familiarity with using AI tools in a controlled way (ideation, iteration speedups, consistency support) without compromising style control and production requirements.
