To lead the People function at Motocard, ensuring efficient, structured, and business-oriented talent management across the organization.
During the first months, the role will take full responsibility for payroll management (with outsourced company), ensuring operational continuity while the current payroll responsible is temporarily absent.
This position combines strategic People leadership with strong operational and administrative expertise.
Location: Granollers (own vehicle is mandatory due to the location of our offices)
Format: hybrid
Works across Retail Stores, Central Offices, and Warehouse.
Reports directly to the CEO.
Initially may need to visit the Solsona offices, where the central warehouse is located.
Oversees labor-related reporting and BCORP-related reporting obligations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Payroll Management (Critical Initial Phase)
Oversee and execute the full payroll process with the outsourced company
Coordinate with the external payroll consultancy
Control salary incidents, variable compensation, commissions, and bonuses
Manage employee lifecycle processes: hires, terminations, contract amendments, settlements
Ensure legal and regulatory compliance in labor matters
Act as point of contact for payroll-related employee queries
2. HR Platform Migration
Lead the migration to a new HR management system
Coordinate with the technology provider
Define and standardize internal HR processes
Train managers and teams on the new platform
Ensure correct integration with payroll and reporting systems
3. Contract & External Consultancy Management
Coordinate with external labor advisors
Review and validate employment contracts
Monitor renewals, extensions, and contractual changes
Ensure proper documentation and compliance
4. Training & Development
Identify training needs together with Area Managers (Retail) and Department Managers
Organize and monitor training plans
Promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Support onboarding processes for new hires.
5. Leadership & Team Support
Partner with managers on people management matters
Provide guidance in employee relations and performance management
Reinforce company culture and engagement
Support talent development initiatives
Recruitment interviews will not be part of the role, as they are conducted by department heads
Responsible for the Whistleblowing Channel (Canal de Denuncias) and all related compliance reporting
Profile & Experience
Degree in Labor Relations, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field
3–5 years of experience in HR with strong exposure to payroll (no need of management position)
Experience working with external payroll providers
Solid knowledge of labor law
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Practical, business-oriented mindset with retail understanding
