As an experienced Automation QA Engineer in our Sportsbook Domain, you will enhance our sports product capabilities by taking end‑to‑end ownership of domain quality. You will design effective tests, define clear scopes aligned with business needs, and validate solutions. Your work ensures a secure, seamless, and enjoyable experience for customers across all our brands.
In this role, you will partner with Java backend developers and fellow QA Engineers to deliver high‑quality solutions in an Agile environment, supporting a reliable and engaging customer experience.
Responsibilities
* Drive high‑impact outcomes by leading complex, ambiguous projects and resolving critical issues that directly influence business quality and performance.
* Shape testing strategy and architecture by leading test design for complex problems, ensuring reliability, observability, and alignment with business priorities.
* Communicate risks, insights, and technical considerations clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, contributing meaningfully to roadmaps and planning.
* Uplift QA practices across squads by promoting best practices, anticipating issues through strong processes, and enabling others to improve testing for performance, scale, and security.
Essential Skills
* Practical experience with automated API testing methodologies.
* Experience creating automated tests with Java for backend testing.
* Proficiency with test management tools such as TestRail.
* Understanding of modern software development practices in Agile/Scrum self‑organizing teams and DevOps environments.
Nice to Haves
* ISTQB certification.
* Familiarity with microservice architectures.
* Experience with frontend testing including UI automation using Typescript (Playwright).
* Good grasp of event‑driven systems (Kafka); ability to reason about distributed failures.
* Practical experience improving CI/CD pipelines.
* Experience with Grafana, Datadog, or any other monitoring tool.
* Experience creating and analyzing performance tests.
* Interest or experience in the gambling domain.
