About the RoleWest 520 Consultancy Services SL is seeking a detail-oriented Internal Accountant to take ownership of our financial workflows. This is a foundational role aimed at bridging the gap between our internal operations and our external gestoría. You will be responsible for building robust internal procedures and ensuring our financial data is "audit-ready" at all times.
Key Responsibilities
System Implementation: Design and implement internal accounting procedures (PO systems, expense management, and digital filing).
Liaison with External Agency: Work closely with our external gestoría to ensure all Spanish tax returns (IVA, Modelo 111, Modelo 115, etc.) and annual accounts are filed accurately and on time.
Daily Bookkeeping: Manage accounts payable/receivable and perform weekly bank reconciliations.
Software Management: Implement and oversee our accounting software (e.g., Holded, Sage, or similar) to ensure real-time data accuracy.
Reporting: Prepare monthly P&L and cash flow reports for management.
Compliance: Ensure all internal operations comply with the Spanish Plan General Contable. Assist with record keeping and documentation of management decisions.
Candidate Profile
Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
Experience: 3+ years of experience in Spanish accounting, specifically working with SL (Sociedad Limitada) structures.
Local Knowledge: Strong understanding of Spanish tax obligations and labor-related accounting.
Languages: Professional fluency in both Spanish and English is essential.
Tech-Savvy: Experience with cloud-based accounting platforms, Google Sheets and Excel.
Location: Ideally based in or near Estepona or Sotogrande for periodic face-to-face meetings.
