With the integration of Deimos and strategic participation in Hispasat and Hisdesat, we are scaling Europe's space autonomy and contributing to flagship programs like IRIS2, Galileo, EGNOS, and Copernicus. brWhat will you do? brDefine and lead the satellite power and data distribution architecture, including interface boards, umbilicals, power distribution units and conversion electronics. brTranslate mission requirements into power and data distribution concepts, grounding strategies and EMC performance criteria. brLead trade-off analyses between architectures such as point-to-point, backplane or direct connection approaches. brGenerate and maintain electrical, grounding, EMC, harness requirements, EICDs, and subsystem interface specifications. brDevelop power budgets, energy balance analysis and end-of-life sizing for different mission scenarios. brEnsure compliance with mission reliability, redundancy and derating standards. brCoordinate harness procurement and development with internal teams and external suppliers. brSupport AIT activities including functional, thermal vacuum and load test campaigns. brAct as technical authority during project reviews (PDR, CDR, TRR, FRR). brCollaborate with mechanical, thermal, software, V V and systems teams to define system-level specifications. brProvide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers. brPrepare system specifications, design reports, test plans and other technical documentation. brWork closely with procurement to provide technical assessment of supplied items. brStay up to date with advancements in avionics, satellite design and space technologies to support innovation. What are we looking for? brA recognized engineering degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Electronic Engineering or related fields. brMinimum 5 years of experience in satellite electrical design and development, including flight projects. brStrong knowledge of spacecraft solar arrays, battery technologies and power electronics. brExperience with regulated and unregulated power buses and peak power tracking. brFamiliarity with industry standards (ECSS, MIL-STD, NASA). brProficiency with system analysis tools such as MATLAB, Simulink or Altium. brProven experience leading system design across the full lifecycle (concept to launch). brExperience in aeronautical/aerospace electrical architecture. brFamiliarity with AIT campaigns for satellites and/or launchers. brExperience with EGSE and satellite test environments in phases C/D. brStrong problem-solving skills and ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary engineering domains. brExcellent communication and leadership skills. brHigh-level English (spoken and written). brAvailability to work in a hybrid model in Madrid.
