The Physiotherapy Department in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences offers a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy, three Master’s Degrees and a number of continuing education courses. The department undertakes innovative teaching and research projects through a senior research group and focuses on adapting the academic curriculum and research areas to the needs of present society.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a specialist in physical activity and sports science with a strong curriculum in education and clinical research. Experience in using exercise as a tool for rehabilitation of people with respiratory chronic diseases is essential. Additional merits such as participation in competitive grants, publications on cardiorespiratory chronic diseases, academic awards and a PhD with a high score are highly valued.

The position will be located at UIC Barcelona, in the Department of Physiotherapy.

Selection Process
An independent committee of external experts evaluates applications and decides who moves to the next stage.
Finalists give a public oral defence: presentation of their trajectory and research projects, followed by a 60‑minute question session.

Assessment Criteria
Demonstrable track record in research on exercise and physical activity in respiratory chronic diseases.
Experience supervising undergraduate and postgraduate (Master’s level) students.
Experience teaching at the master’s or postgraduate level.
Clinical experience prescribing exercise for respiratory chronic patients.
Ability to contribute to multidisciplinary projects and collaborative teams, with prior experience in competitive grants.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
For non‑Spanish candidates, knowledge of Catalan and/or Spanish is an asset. xpzdshu
