Following a recent 100% acquisition of BWS Spain, we are seeking a dedicated Business Controller to strengthen financial and operational transparency and ensure alignment with BWS Group policies and governance standards.
This new role will work closely with the existing Finance Manager for Spain, complementing their responsibilities by focusing on integration efforts, process improvements, and group-wide financial governance. The Business Controller will serve as a key link between BWS Spain and BWS Group, ensuring cooperation, alignment, and best practice sharing while respecting and leveraging local financial expertise.
You will be reporting to the Finance Manager in Spain with a dotted line to the Finance Director for EMEA located in our HQ in Denmark.
Strengthen Financial and Operational Transparency and Ensure Alignment In this role you have an important task in the transition from a local Finance team to a part of the global Finance Department.
Your key responsibilities will include :
Support the local Finance Manager in establishing and maintaining financial transparency through accurate and timely reporting
Assist in the implementation of BWS Group policies, procedures, and governance frameworks
Monitor financial performance and provide insights to improve efficiency and profitability on selected areas
Ensure proper segregation of duties between Finance and Operations to maintain strong internal controls
Act as a liaison between BWS Spain and BWS Group finance teams, fostering effective communication, cooperation, and alignment
Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support data-driven decisions
Identify and support process improvements that enhance financial management and reporting
Qualifications and Experience :
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in finance, controlling, or financial analysis roles
Solid understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls
Experience in financial process integration within an international group is an advantage
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Fluency in Spanish and English
