The Central Customs Team (CCT), as part of the supply chain – logistics department, provides customs and trade compliance expertise to regional sites and the transport network, driving governance across regions. It translates global compliance and optimisation targets into regional frameworks and guidelines to support operational continuity.
Role and Responsibilities
* Proactively manage day‑to‑day customs processes.
* Liaise closely with business stakeholders for alignment and support on current and future initiatives.
* Support customs escalations (e.g., coordination between SPOCs, brokers, carriers and other internal and external stakeholders regarding daily shipments).
* Identify, report and register incidents and follow up on implementation of corrective controls.
* Assist on classification of new products and determination of preferential origin.
* Process customs‑related payments in our systems.
* Collect and collate relevant customs data from sites and brokers (scorecards).
* Follow up on Long‑Term Supplier Declarations (LTSD) procurement.
* Monitor and support proper export closure (e.g., confirmation of exit, alternative proof of export).
* Support customs‑related projects.
Profile
* Professional degree, preferably in Economics, Law or similar.
* Experience in customs compliance, preferably in manufacturing and distribution.
* Sound understanding of customs processes including determination of origin and classification.
* Strong analytical skills and process‑optimisation oriented mindset.
* Hands‑on mentality.
* Solution‑oriented behaviour and proactive pursuit of improvement.
* Sense of urgency and ability to prioritise.
* Team player capable of building a good working network both internally and externally.
* Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
* Experience with SAP and knowledge of MIC or other global trade‑management software is a plus.
* Enjoys working in a fast‑paced and multicultural environment.
