As a Product System Development Engineer - Hardware in MAHLE, you will be responsible for project development according to the timing plan and assigned budget. You will coordinate engineering domains such as Requirements Management, Hardware, Software, Mechanics, Functional Safety, Validation, and Industrialization to accomplish prototypes and project milestones, ensuring MAHLE PDP deliverables. You will also focus on Design to Cost, Design for Manufacturing, and Design for Quality, including circuit analysis to meet customer requirements (precision, reliability, thermal considerations, etc.).
How can you become part of our success?
* Technical and strategic coordination with the Product System Development Team Leader.
* Complete technical management of new product development.
* Management of technical resources at project level.
* Main technical interface with the project customer and production plant.
* Customer requirements analysis and negotiation alongside the System Requirements Engineer.
* Coordination of development tasks with other technical domains: System Requirements Engineering, HW, SW, Mechanics, Quality, Functional Safety, Validation, and Industrialization.
* Technical development of the project according to budget and planning.
* Close coordination with the Project Manager, including risk and cost analysis.
* Responsible for Design to Cost, Design for Manufacturing, and Design for Quality.
* Planning and monitoring of development cycles and prototype maturity levels.
* Approval of eBOM for each development cycle.
* Ownership of Release Notes.
* Organization of technical reviews and design FMEA with the quality department.
* Definition of critical or safety characteristics.
* Management and resolution of technical problems.
* Willingness to travel and provide onsite technical support.
* Keeping the Project Manager and Team Leader informed about project progress.
What skills do you need?
* Degree in Electronics / Telecommunication Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, Physics, or similar.
* Languages: English (C1), Spanish (C1), German, French.
* Technical background in electronics development, especially in automotive electronics.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Altium Designer, MahCad or similar.
* Experience with laboratory instrumentation and test setups: CANoe, INCA, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.
* Knowledge of automotive SPICE, Functional Safety (ISO26262), and Cybersecurity.
* Experience in electronics development, customer and supplier contact, and automotive sector experience preferred.
