As an AFC Reporting Analyst, you will be part of a team responsible for conducting detailed investigations of our non-UK customers to detect potential money laundering risks and review customers and incidents where risk triggers are identified or internal thresholds are met.
Your investigations will ensure that customers can legitimately support their levels of play and that there are no clear indicators of potential proceeds of crime. Once investigations are finalized, team members are responsible for submitting Suspicious Activity/Transaction Reports to relevant authorities.
You will collaborate with our Risk Operations, Customer Services, Payments, and Business Intelligence teams, among others.
What you’ll be doing:
* Critically review source of funds/wealth background checks and documentary evidence from reports to validate suspicions of money laundering or terrorist financing (ML/TF).
* Conduct further internal system checks or open-source investigations.
* Draft and submit Suspicious Activity/Transaction Reports (SAR/STR), approved by the MLRO, to Financial Intelligence Units.
* Handle information requests from law enforcement authorities or banks.
* Ensure proper record-keeping of analyzed data and decisions made.
* Stay current with developments in money laundering and terrorist financing behaviors, policies, regulations, criminal typologies, industry best practices, and emerging trends.
* Support activities and operations in other markets as needed, with a primary focus on the Spanish market.
