We are strengthening our CSE Iberica Controllership team and are looking for an experienced finance professional to step into the role of Country Controller. This position offers broad regional exposure, strong interaction with FP&A and senior finance stakeholders, and end‑to‑end ownership of legal entities within the South‑East Region.
Role Purpose
As Country Controller, you will provide full controllership oversight for your assigned entities, ensuring high‑quality financial reporting, sound balance sheet governance, and robust internal controls. You will act as a key business partner to FP&A, Finance Business Partners, Consolidation, and Accounting teams, and play an active role in audits, SOX, and complex accounting matters.
The role is well suited for someone looking to expand regional responsibility, deepen controllership expertise, and increase visibility across CSE and Carrier Finance.
Key Responsibilities
1. End‑to‑end ownership of Balance Sheet and Income Statement for assigned legal entities
2. Perform Balance Sheet flux and P&L reviews with FP&A during month‑end and quarter‑end close
3. Preparation and review of one‑timer and non‑standard transactions
4. Conduct entity visits, accounting reviews, and internal controls assessments
5. Lead SOX risk assessments, including business input and final sign‑off
6. Ownership of SOX ticket closure, approval matrix maintenance, and system access reviews
7. Perform BlackLine (ARMS) second‑layer reviews
8. Support internal audits and external audits (incl. PwC control reviews)
Scope & Exposure
9. Multi‑entity portfolio within the CSE Iberica Region
10. Strong interaction with regional and central finance leadership
11. High visibility in topics related to financial quality, controls, and compliance
Experience & Profile
12. Solid background in Controllership, Accounting, or Financial Reporting
13. Strong understanding of finance processes, internal controls, and SOX
14. Proven ability to analyze and explain Balance Sheet and P&L drivers
15. Experience working with shared service or centralized accounting models
16. Ability to quickly understand complex processes and interfaces
17. Hands‑on, structured, and detail‑oriented, with strong stakeholder management skills
18. Openness to learning new systems and operating in a transforming finance environment
