The Opportunity
The Finance Manager (Spain) will lead finance requirements for Ledn EEC, S.L., the Spanish legal entity, and support consolidated processes in the global finance team. This full-time position reports to our Head of Finance and, for matters regarding Ledn Spain, has a dual reporting mandate to the General Manager of Spain to ensure alignment between Ledn's global financial strategy and local operational execution. You must be located and legally able to work in Spain and will work closely with the local team in Spain, as well as collaborate with the global team. The ideal candidate has experience in an agile startup environment or in the financial industry. You are equally comfortable leading the function as you are rolling up your sleeves to execute, making you both a leader and a hands-on problem solver.
About the Role
Lead finance operations and compliance for Ledn's Spanish entity, including regulatory reporting, local GAAP considerations, and coordination with local advisors. Ensure compliance with applicable obligations under the MiCA (Markets in Crypto-Assets) regulatory framework, including support in reporting, documentation, and financial control processes as they relate to asset service operations within the EU. Own the coordination and relationship with the auditor for legal entity audited financial statements. Responsible for Spanish tax compliance, including corporate tax, VAT, withholding tax, transfer pricing, and relationship with local tax advisor. Maintain legal entity forecast and ownership of legal entity assumptions and drivers. Represent the legal entity for communications and maintain relationships with local regulatory authorities.
Global Consolidation
Participate in global finance team's consolidated accounting processes, including month-end close activities, group-level reconciliations, and intercompany transactions. Support process improvement initiatives and projects including automation of accounting processes. Develop new, revise or enhance existing accounting processes to meet changes in business requirements and growth, including new products, changes in product features, and changes in business or operational processes. Ad hoc analysis to address issues or questions, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
What You Bring to Ledn
* Undergraduate or Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.
* 5-7 years of experience in finance, operations, or accounting, preferably experience in an agile start up environment or within the financial services industry.
* Prior experience working with international entities (especially within the EU) or in a regulatory reporting capacity is a strong asset.
* Knowledge of MiCA regulations and their impact on financial operations for crypto-asset service providers is preferred; Experience dealing with CNMV and Bank of Spain is an asset.
* Advanced Microsoft Excel (or Google Sheets) and SQL proficiency; Previous experience with Snowflake or other data warehouses is an asset.
* Strong analytical and database skills with proven ability to deal with large volumes of unstructured data from a variety of sources and construct a path to support relevant business decisions.
* A self-starting, inquisitive and deterministic mindset that takes pride in delivering exceptional results.

* Comfortable with a rapidly growing, fast-paced and dynamic environment.
* Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously.
