Digisourced Ltd is supporting a client on a nearshore initiative and is looking for an experienced Slack Platform Architect to support the professionalisation and optimisation of an existing Slack environment.
This is a freelance, offsite contract focused on assessment, governance, security, and scalable platform design.

* End date: 30 April 2026 (extension possible)
* Effort: Approx. 400 hours (offsite)
* Working model: Remote / offsite
The project aims to professionalise, streamline, and prepare an existing Slack environment for future expansion.
While the Slack landscape is already in place, it requires structural, organisational, and technical optimisation to ensure scalability, governance compliance, and readiness for onboarding additional companies into a shared Slack ecosystem.
This phase focuses on:
* A comprehensive assessment of the current environment
* Conceptual design and governance foundations
* Implementation of selected quick wins (e.g. SSO with Entra ID, auto-start configurations)
* Establishing a secure, maintainable, and scalable Slack platform
Key Responsibilities Analysis of the Existing Slack Environment
* Conduct a detailed assessment of workspace structure, channel landscape, naming conventions, user roles, and permission models
* Review integrations, apps, workflows, and security configurations
* Identify gaps, redundancies, security risks, and improvement opportunities
* Deliver a structured analysis report with prioritised recommendations
Administrative & Security Activities
* Perform administrative tasks to ensure a secure, compliant, and stable Slack environment
* Adjust user access, Slack Connect configurations, roles, and permissions in line with governance requirements
* Configure and optimise security settings, compliance controls, and approval workflows
* Manage and optimise integrations, apps, and automations
* Prepare the environment for future SSO / IAM enhancements (Google and Microsoft as identity providers)
* Implement structural improvements such as channel consolidation, workspace clean‑up, and naming standard adjustments
* Enable or refine Slack features (Workflow Builder, integrations, admin policies) to improve collaboration efficiency
* Support the creation and rollout of governance policies, templates, and guidelines
* Ensure the environment is scalable and suitable for onboarding additional companies
* Document all implemented improvements and hand over updated configuration and governance materials
