Job Purpose :
Vendor, Technology or Business Unit, Profit & Loss (P&L), commercial and operational ownership by collaborating with all relevant business functions to deliver best in class systems, tools, processes, financial data integrity and reporting.
Responsibilities :
* Execute the Business Unit strategy in full alignment with the agreed strategy to grow profitable market share.
* Lead the vendor pricing strategy through collaboration with profit team to review price elasticity and handle exception management.
* Collaborate with the Business Intelligence team to provide market reports and analysis, and use this data to identify trends for sound business proposals.
* Support development of direct reports and / or divisional assistant category managers (ACMs).
* Ownership for full product and vendor lifecycle management, including system accuracy, product adoption & creation, and contract management.
* Maintain operational & commercial relationships with vendor key stakeholders.
* Identify process improvements in commercial & operational areas.
* Ensure ongoing use of CRM tools for business continuity.
* Contribute to quarterly vendor business planning and execution.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience :
1. Highly numerate with strong analytical skills.
2. Commercial acumen and good relationship skills.
3. Strong communication, time management, and prioritization skills.
4. Experience in the IT industry with channel and / or vendor at a category management level, ideally from finance, purchasing, or product marketing background.
5. Experience with SAP R3 and business warehouse.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
7. Experience working within a matrix structure.
8. Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
9. Business planning experience with a strong operational cadence.
