This role focuses on improving project management and investment portfolio tracking (CAPEX), aiming to efficiently manage the project portfolio while developing procedures, standards, and best practices for project governance. We operate in a diverse project environment, including IT projects (under agile methodologies), maintenance/sustaining projects, and commercial projects (primarily using a waterfall approach).ResponsibilitiesMonitor and control the CapEx spending of projects across the group, ensuring adherence to established budgets and proactively reporting and managing any deviations.Analyze the variances between budgeted and actual expenditures, identifying areas for improvement or risk and providing recommendations to optimize costs.Collaborate in the annual investment budgeting exercise (CAPEX Budgeting) and forecasting process.Coordinate the collection and analysis of data to prepare project management reports, ensuring data is accurate and timely.Develop and improve Power BI and other system tools for CAPEX and project tracking. Including the development of dashboards to track KPIs and project and/or portfolio performance metrics.Continuously monitor and assess project progress, identifying potential risks and proposing appropriate solutions.Support the prioritization of initiatives and the project portfolio to align with company strategy.Develop and enhance standards, procedures, tools and best practices for project management, CAPEX tracking and governance.Share lesson learned from completed projects.Ensure the integration of all business units in project management and CAPEX control.Work with Project Managers and Portfolio Managers to improve governance and project management.Train teams on project management best practices and tools to enhance efficiency.Ensure effective communication with teams across different countries and organizational levels.RequirementsEducational Background: Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Civil, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Additional qualifications in Project Management (PMP, Prince2, etc.) are a plus.Previous experience in a similar role, combining CAPEX analysis (portfolio status, budgeting, forecasting) and project management/governance.High level of English, essential for communication with international teams.Analytical skills and proactivity, with the ability to improve processes and reporting.Experience in Power BI and data visualization tools (advanced Excel, etc.).Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as this position interacts with senior management and the executive layer (PMs and PFMs).
