The Role
We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join our People team in Spain. In this role, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, aligning people strategies with organizational objectives while supporting compliance with Spanish labor law and HR best practices. You will be a key player in helping Submer scale effectively through its next phase of growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Partner with managers to design and execute people strategies that drive performance, engagement, and growth.
2. Provide expert guidance on Spanish labor law, employment practices, and employee relations.
3. Manage HR compliance processes, including contracts, onboarding, and policy implementation.
4. Support health & safety responsibilities in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, ensuring alignment with local regulations.
5. Coach managers on performance management, development conversations, and team dynamics.
6. Support organizational design, workforce planning, and change initiatives.
7. Help drive employee engagement, culture initiatives, and DEI efforts.
8. Analyze HR data and trends to inform decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.
9. Manage all recruitment for the Spanish entity, ensuring attraction of high-quality talent to meet business objectives.
10. Collaborate with global HR teams to align local and international HR practices.
11. Experience managing a small team of internal recruiters and external agencies.
Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
2. At least 6 years of experience in a strategic HR role, ideally within a tech or high-growth international environment.
3. Strong knowledge of Spanish labor law and local HR practices, with the ability to think globally.
4. Experience in employee relations, talent management, and HR operations.
5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; advanced fluency in English.
6. Experience working in a global environment.
7. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving organization with a hands-on, solution-oriented mindset.
