About the Company
Our client is a well-established independent distributor and electronic component broker operating within the global semiconductor and electronic components market. The business supports OEMs, EMS providers, and global manufacturing organisations by sourcing hard-to-find, obsolete, allocated, and excess electronic components through its international supplier network.
Due to continued growth across Europe, they are looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager with a strong background in independent distribution / open market trading. This is a fully remote position, offering the opportunity to operate commercially across the European market while leveraging an established global sourcing and logistics infrastructure.
The Role
This position is focused on driving revenue growth and building long-term customer relationships within the electronic components sector.
You will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing existing client relationships, and working closely with internal purchasing and sourcing teams to deliver competitive solutions to customers facing supply chain challenges.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and win new business across OEM, EMS, and distribution customers across Europe
* Build strong relationships with procurement, supply chain, and purchasing decision makers
* Identify opportunities for shortage sourcing, excess inventory sales, and open market trading
* Work closely with internal purchasing and sourcing teams to secure competitive component pricing
* Manage the full sales cycle from opportunity identification through to deal closure
* Maintain and develop an active pipeline of trading opportunities
* Provide market intelligence on pricing trends, allocation issues, and supply chain disruptions
* Consistently achieve and exceed revenue and margin targets
Required Experience
* Proven experience working within the electronic components industry
* Background in independent distribution, electronic component brokerage, or open market trading
* Strong knowledge of semiconductors, ICs, memory, passives, or electromechanical components
* Existing network of OEM, EMS, or distributor contacts is highly advantageous
* Proven track record in sales, account management, or business development within the industry
* Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
* Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment
