Job Purpose A host/hostess at Soho House is responsible for welcoming and greeting members and guests, managing the table booking systems and supporting with floor team to seat current bookings and prepare tables for the next booking.
Your main responsibility is to ensure that members have an enjoyable experience by showcasing our house values of collaboration, simplicity, kindness and passion. You will deliver excellent service from initial greeting and seating members and supporting with the floor team where needed.
Main Duties
Welcome every member by name and guest with open arms and in a hospitable manner.
Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
Monitor restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow.
Manage the OpenTable booking system to ensure members are seated according to their correct booking.
In real-time ensure that any member and guest related concerns are addressed and action items have been set and management team have been notified.
Build relationships with members and guests. Communicate red flags and positive feedback to management and wider team.
Influence a fun and positive atmosphere by being approachable and professional.
Support floor team to prepare tables by setting up all the tables with care
Have an outstanding knowledge of our menus to provide detailed information on the food, drink, allergies and pairings.
Handling all member and guests interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism.
Take action in all matters related to safety, security, satisfaction and wellbeing of employees and members.
Assure the proper handling of VIPs and PWKs, protecting their privacy and confidentiality.
Supporting the team with any of their needs on an ad-hoc basis
Requirements
A successful Host or hostess for Soho House will ideally have up to 2 years’ experience in a busy high-profile venue and a natural flair for first class service. You’ll be reliable, friendly and happy to be a key part of the team that strives for success.
