Overview
Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Regional Sales Manager North West Europe/ Iberia to join our team in either Spain or Portugal. The role focuses on maximizing exposure of WHR franchised hotels within the assigned territory, developing sales opportunities, managing customer accounts, and contributing to hotel performance across the region. The region comprises North West Europe/ Iberia, with emphasis on Iberia and the UK. The Regional Sales Manager will build opportunities to manage and develop existing National and Regional Accounts while developing new business across market segments, in partnership with clients and travel intermediaries to deliver incremental revenue and increased market share for hotels, franchise partners, and WHR.
Responsibilities
* Devising, instigating and implementing sales plans for top clients;
negotiating and contracting rates for key clients across all segments within the designated WHR region.
* Managing relevant group leads and RFP solicitations into WHR properties through Wyndham Sales Systems.
* Achieving defined targets based on consumed revenues, room nights, RFP acceptances and other applicable metrics;
maintaining a monthly average of 25+ sales appointments or calls.
* Sales Account Management & New Business Development:
identify and secure new accounts for hotels within the territory;
build and deploy robustpipeline plans with revenue and RN targets by segment (Corporate Transient, Group/MICE, Leisure groups & FIT).
* Develop strategic partnerships with leisure Tour Operators, Corporate Clients, Travel Agencies and MICE companies to drive business to hotels.
* Design and execute strategies to maximise hotel revenue and overall contribution to EMEA targets.
* Franchisee Relations:
work with franchise and management partners to understand needs and educate on WHR Commercial Tools.
* Internal Relations & Systems:
collaborate with WHR units and utilise tools and systems to achieve goals;
support colleagues as needed.
* Industry Participation:
represent WHR at industry events and participate in relevant associations.
* Self-Development:
continuously enhance knowledge and skills to stay current in the commercial function and prepare for future roles within WHR.
Scope & Financial Responsibility
The Regional Sales Manager is solely responsible for a portfolio of named accounts in the territory and for business development of new accounts. They will have an annual revenue goal set with their line manager and participate in the WHR Individual Sales Incentive Plan. Although the position does not manage a cost center, the manager is accountable for expenses within predetermined budgets, cost of sale, and ROI for business travel and opportunities. A Travel & Entertainment Expense Report must be submitted monthly.

Experience / Certificates / Education
* College/University degree or equivalent experience, ideally in hospitality or a commercial discipline.
* Significant hotel sales experience (property, national or global);
multi-segment knowledgepreferred.
* Full local driving license preferred.
* Fluency in English is essential;
additional European language (Spanish) is advantageous.
* High proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
* Experience using hospitality sales systems.
