Business Unit Manager - Dietary Supplements
to own and develop the most commercially critical product category.

. The Category Manager will be responsible for driving category performance across both mature and high-potential markets.
Key Responsibilities
Category Strategy:
Develop and execute the category plan for sports nutrition and dietary supplements across Europe and key global accounts.
Portfolio Management:
Own the product lifecycle – new launches, performance optimisation, rationalisation – in collaboration with sales, procurement, and regulatory teams.
Market Intelligence:
Monitor trends, competitors, and innovation in the supplement and functional food sectors to inform strategic decisions.
Commercial Support:
Act as the category expert for strategic customer conversations and proposals, enabling sales with competitive positioning and data.
New Product Development:
Identify and source new ingredients to maintain a best-in-class, commercially attractive product portfolio.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
Partner with technical, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure seamless execution from concept to market.
Adecuado Candidate Profile
7+ years in
category management, product management
, or commercial roles within
dietary supplements
,
nutraceutical ingredients, or functional foods
Strong understanding of
B2B commercial models
and
ingredient sourcing/supply chains
Comfortable working cross-functionally and influencing without direct authority
Commercially agile with a technical grounding – able to speak both "science and sales"
Track record of identifying growth opportunities and launching new products
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional European languages are a bonus
