Post-doctoral position in chip-integrated infrared colloidal quantum dot lasers
ICFO is offering a postdoctoral position to a well-qualified, highly motivated and dynamic young scientist who wishes to enhance his/her scientific career in a friendly and stimulating environment.
The successful candidate will be joining the Functional Optoelectronic Nanomaterials group led by Prof. Dr. Gerasimos Konstantatos who is looking for a postdoctoral candidate to develop chip-integrated infrared lasers based on colloidal quantum dot technology. The aim is to develop the first chip-integrated infrared quantum dot laser emitting in the telecom wavelength regime as well as in longer wavelengths (extended-SWIR) for applications related to remote sensing, spectroscopy, LIDAR, and communications. The candidate will be in charge of the design, fabrication, and characterization of quantum dot laser structures and integrating them on a chip for optical and/or electrical excitation. Those proof-of-concept devices will then be tested in showcase examples to demonstrate potential for real-world applications.
Funded by MCIN/AEI/ 10.13039/501100011033 and by the “European Union NextGenerationEU/PRTR”.
How to apply
