We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented HSE Technician to join our team at Hitachi Energy. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance across our operations in Europe, promoting a strong safety culture, and supporting continuous improvement in HSE practices. How You'll Make An Impact
Ensure compliance with Spanish legislation (Law 31/1995 and RD 39/1997) and maintain ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
Identify hazards, perform risk assessments, implement preventive measures, and investigate incidents or near misses, providing actionable recommendations.
Manage HSE documentation, support internal and external audits, and prepare KPI and emergency response reports.
Train and raise awareness among staff, with a focus on electrical safety, and monitor proper use of PPE on-site.
Conduct site visits across Europe to ensure compliance with Hitachi Energy's HSE standards.
Your Background
Technical degree in Engineering or related discipline, plus a Master's in Occupational Risk Prevention (Advanced Level PRL valid in Spain).
Minimum 3 years of experience in HSE roles, ideally in electrical engineering or industrial environments.
Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001; internal auditor certification is a plus.
Strong English (B2 or higher), attention to detail, proactive hands-on attitude, and excellent communication skills.
Experience collaborating with multi-skilled site teams and contractors, with a willingness to travel occasionally across Europe.
