Offer Description
We are seeking to recruit a research assistant for the SOM group's SE4GenAI project at the UOC's Digital Transformation, AI and Technology Research Unit.
The project focuses on software engineering methods and tools for systems that incorporate Generative Artificial Intelligence (SE4GenAI).
Responsibilities
* Participate in technological research activities in the field of intelligent systems development.
* Develop languages, tools, and processes to specify, design, implement, and monitor intelligent systems.
* Collaborate in the design and analysis of results, as well as in the preparation and presentation of reports.
* Attend meetings with companies, public administrations and leaders from different sectors in the search for new sources of funding.
* Increase the applicability and transferability of results.
* Participate as a co-author in presentations of scientific results in journals or conferences relevant to the sector.
The successful candidate will be awarded a temporary full-time contract lasting 4 months. The scheduled start date is 1 September.
For work on site, the principal location will be the UOC Campus, at Rambla del Poblenou 154-156, Barcelona. At the UOC, we work with an open working model that combines remote working with work on-site, according to organizational needs and the nature of the tasks involved.

* Degree in Computer Engineering or related fields.
* One year of experience in similar tasks.
* Knowledge of software engineering and application development.
* Knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI).
* Experience in integrating generative AI into applications (use of APIs, prompt engineering).
* Programming in Python.
* Knowledge of LaTeX for writing scientific articles.
* Fluency in English, spoken and written, at B2 level.
* Autonomy at work.
Also of interest:
* Interest in research.
* Master's degree in Computer Science or related areas.
* Knowledge of the UOC's educational model, structure, systems and processes.
