About the role :
Gartner is looking for a full-time Salesforce Developer to join the Sales Service and Corporate Engineering team. As a Salesforce Engineer, you will design and develop customized solutions within the Salesforce Platform. You will be responsible for writing Apex Classes, Triggers, Flows, and LWC components to deliver new capabilities and maintain the existing Salesforce codebase.
What you will do :
1. Understand the requirements and provide multiple options for solutions utilizing Salesforce best practices.
2. Perform hands-on solution design, proof-of-concepts, development, and testing to support implementation activities.
3. Manage critical customer cases and maintain clear documentation.
4. Work with a cross-functional SCRUM team to maintain and enhance the SFDC Platform.
5. Research and identify opportunities to utilize SFDC best practices to improve system productivity, scaling, and monitoring.
6. Participate in code reviews, peer inspections, and technical design/specifications.
7. Manage incidents and resolutions with a focus on root cause analysis.
What you will need :
2 to 4 years of relevant experience on the Force platform, with a strong understanding of key SFDC design principles. The candidate should possess strong problem-solving skills, high ownership, and accountability.
Must have :
1. At least 2 years of hands-on experience on the Force platform, understanding SFDC design and architecture.
2. Development experience including coding in APEX (classes, triggers, batch processes, web services), VisualForce, Lightning (Aura), LWC, Salesforce APIs, SOQL, and Force.com.
3. Experience integrating with third-party tools or web APIs.
4. Strong fundamentals in software development and object-oriented design.
Nice to have :
1. Knowledge of deployment techniques and change management.
2. Certifications such as Salesforce Platform Developer, Salesforce Advanced Developer, or CRM Analytics.
Who you are :
Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to understand system scope and project objectives to ensure robust design, build, and testing.
Ability to work independently or proactively within a fast-paced Agile/SCRUM environment.
Strong desire to improve skills in software development frameworks and technologies.
