We are looking to hire an Adobe Experience Manager Tech Lead to work for a German retail multinational company that is experiencing significant growth. This role offers great opportunities to work on international projects and to grow professionally.
Main Responsibilities and Activities
1. Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of AEM-based web content management solutions.
2. Develop and enforce AEM best practices, standards, and guidelines.
3. Oversee the development of custom components, templates, and workflows.
4. Prepare and lead deployment activities in testing and production environments.
5. Conceptually and analytically develop templates, components, dialogs, workflows, models, and services.
6. Manage development workload across a small team of AEM developers.
7. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
8. Assess the feasibility and scalability of AEM solutions to meet business needs, collaborating with business and product owners to define technical solutions.
9. Translate wireframes and creative designs into functional requirements and technical designs.
10. Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party systems as part of the architecture.
11. Maintain strong coding standards for efficiency, readability, and reusability.
12. Conduct code reviews with other developers.
13. Ensure scalability, performance, maintainability, code quality, and security of the AEM solution.
14. Proactively initiate improvements related to site performance, stability, and reliability, such as dispatcher optimization and Cloud Manager pipeline enhancements.
15. Build and maintain relationships with business and technology stakeholders.
16. Communicate regularly with stakeholders to update on project status and gather feedback.
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies
Proven expertise and track record in leading AEM projects and teams.
* At least 3 years as an Adobe AEM Lead, with a strong Java/J2EE background in both front-end web design and AEM integration.
* Experience managing project timelines, deliverables, and resources, coordinating cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
* Participation in 3+ full-cycle AEM projects and at least one year of web experience (e.g., SAP Commerce Cloud Front).
* Technical guidance in AEM building blocks including templates, components, dialogs, widgets, and bundles.
* Solid experience with AEM Touch UI and HTML (Sightly) templating language.
* Understanding of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 and experience with assistive technologies like JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, Wave.
* Experience with Java Content Repository (API), Sling framework, Apache Felix OSGi, dynamic media, and DAM.
* Experience with log monitoring and analysis tools such as New Relic and Sumo Logic.
* Advanced proficiency in English.
