Team: Vetting
Location: Marine Terminal (Terminal Marítimo de Cartagena)
Level of Expertise: 7+ years actual sea service* aboard tankers as a certificated officer.
Requirements: University degree + experience in similar positions + English C1
The team you join:
You will join the Vetting Team. We are a team of marine experts in charge of ensuring that the vessels involved in the Repsol Group's undertakings meet Repsol's criteria and process standards.
Our Vetting team is in charge of carrying out assessments in accordance with our vetting processes at both Repsol terminals and other national and international terminals.
Main tasks:
1. Monitor the Maritime Terminal vessel schedule to identify vessels for inspection following the established procedures.
2. Conduct Inspections to the vessels according to the Repsol Vetting Process at Repsol Maritime Terminals or at the ports instructed by Repsol Vetting Coordination Team.
3. Obtain and maintain accreditation as an OCIMF-SIRE Inspector Category 1.
4. Collaborate with the Responsible of the Maritime Terminal as an advisor on technical issues related to vessels, as well as ensure compliance with vessel operation assessment requirements at the Maritime Terminal.
5. Conduct on-site monitoring of vessel incidents at the Maritime Terminal, providing first-hand information to the Repsol Vetting Coordination team and the responsible of the Maritime Terminal.
6. Provide technical maritime training to Maritime Terminal personnel.
7. Serve as a reference for vessel safety and operational matters at the Maritime Terminal.
8. Participate in Repsol Vetting Department projects and/or cross-functional projects within the trading division or other areas of Repsol.

You will fit the position if:
17. Master’s license from a recognized flag state for vessels of 3,000 gross tonnage or more, or Chief Engineer Officer’s license from a recognized flag state for vessels powered by main propulsion of 3,000 kW or more.
18. Fluency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
19. At least 60 months of actual sea service* aboard tankers as a certificated officer.
20. At least 24 months of actual sea service as a Master, Chief Officer, Chief Engineer, or 1st/2nd Engineer.
21. Sea service as an officer aboard at least two different types of tankers (oil, chemical, gas).
22. Advanced technical marine operations experience.
23. Knowledge of Internation Maritime Regulations (SOLAS, MARPOL, ISPS, IGC, IBC,..) and Industry recommendations such SIGTTO and OCIMF, including SIRE and TMSA.
24. Knowledge of risk assessment and incident investigation techniques.
