The Opportunity:
As a Specialized Account Manager, your key objective will be to help expand Agoda’s accommodation inventory supply through new partner acquisition. You will get to support the expansion of Agoda’s network of hotel partnerships through building, establishing and maintaining account relationships. Ideally you should be experienced in the hotel industry and / or travel industry, especially online travel. The Specialized Account Manager leverages their experience in procurement, e-commerce, revenue management and the hotel/travel/hospitality industry, generally, in order to manage Agoda’s hotel market and market partnership-related functions.
In this Role, you’ll get to:
1. Pitch, secure and build new hotel partnerships to expand our portfolio and market footprint.
2. Effectively communicate the value proposition and benefits of partnering with Agoda to hotel owners and management.
3. Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to showcase the advantages of our services.
4. Conduct negotiations with potential hotel partners to secure competitive pricing & favorable terms and agreements.
5. Maximize Agoda’s accommodation availability, content competitiveness and business growth for exiting hotel partners based on data
6. Research and troubleshoot rate, availability & support related issues preventing hotels from maximizing booking performance; e.g., problems with connectivity, rate mapping, extranet management, etc.
7. Work closely with internal teams such as operations to ensure successful onboarding of new hotel partners.
8. Formulate project ideas, determine where opportunity exists and implement new approaches in a data-driven environment
9. Use out-of-the-box thinking to develop and implement solutions to unique challenges
What you’ll Need to Succeed:
10. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, in any relevant field
11. Two-Three years’ of proven track record in sales, business development
12. Deep understanding of the OTA industry preferred, but not necessary
13. Driven and “Go getter” attitude in acquiring & negotiating with hotel partners and finding win-win situations
14. Success in acquiring, mentoring & building long term customer relationships
15. Ability to creatively “think on the fly” when negotiating with hotel partners
16. Ability to adapt well and is energized by change
17. Be a team player with a professional “get it done” attitude and work ethic
18. Strong prioritization and planning skills, Curiosity and an experimentation mindset
19. Strong strategic and data analysis skills
20. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
21. Strong interpersonal skills & ability to influence external / internal stakeholders
22. Proficiency in English, German, Italian, French, Spanish or Greek
23. Capacity to travel up to 50% of the time
