Overview
Position: Abbott Ambassador – Madrid + (Ávila o Segovia).
The Ambassador is responsible for driving client loyalty, growing existing business, and improving profitability within the diagnostic/healthcare sector.
Responsibilities
- ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT
- Develop a Strategic Growth Plan at the territory level and execute plan tactics daily.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client data in MyDASH.
- Execute account plan tactics to grow existing business by closing menu gaps (adding on assays), selling DHS solutions, and upgrading/renewing service contracts.
- Weekly engagement with clients to discuss business processes and expand their health system framework using CRDx methodologies.
- Conduct Client Business Reviews every 90 days to ensure commitments are met and identify client needs.
- Act as Abbott point of contact for issues and support requests (ordering, shipping inquiries, product issues).
- Support renewal of existing business with the Enterprise team, early in the process, to block competition.
- Ensure the entire Abbott solution is utilized by the client as expected.
- GROW THE ACCOUNT
- Assess instrument utilization and identify inefficiencies; work with clients to maximize testing capabilities.
- Analyze test menu and ordering patterns to identify gaps and provide solutions.
- Add solutions (including assays, software, and service offerings) to support strategic priorities or efficiencies.
- Deliver operational insights that impact client KPIs through assays, DHS, Hematology, and other solutions.
- Promote Alinity, Hematology, and Digital Health Solutions at each account.
- Manage post-sales client support activities: instrument operation, installation/configuration of assays, calibration/validation, data interpretation, and initial troubleshooting.
- Lead assay performance communication and cross-functional integration activities as needed.
- CLIENT LOYALTY
- Articulate Abbott value proposition and solution portfolio; consult with clients to improve operations and KPIs.
- Develop relationships with internal stakeholders (Lab Director/Manager, Department Supervisors, Procurement, IT Manager, Medical Director).
- Maintain a high Net Promoter Score (OneNPS and tNPS) at each account and address NPS hot sheets.
- Utilize marketing collateral and lead client presentations, workshops, and reviews to demonstrate value.
- Oversee post-sale implementation activities and progress with cross-functional teams and project management.
Qualifications
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Degrees in bio-medical/electrical/mechanical/medical technology/biology/pharmacy or related/commercial field are preferred.
- Experience
- Minimum 4–5 years in the Diagnostic Industry with emphasis on managing and expanding existing accounts and customer relationships; improving profitability.
- Proven track record in a similar role with management and customer references preferred.
- Excellent product and industry knowledge; strong understanding of stakeholders and customer dynamics.
- Strong solution selling and relationship-building skills; excellent communication.
- Fluent in local language and English; additional languages are advantageous.
