Senior Power Supply Design Engineer We seek a highly skilled and experienced Senior Power Supply Design Engineer to join our client's dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-performance DC/DC and AC/DC power supplies up to 1kW. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in power electronics and a proven track record of successful power supply designs. Key Responsibilities: Design and Development : Lead the design and development of DC/DC and AC/DC power supply system’s up to 1kW. Create detailed electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and BOMs. Develop innovative solutions to meet performance, efficiency, and cost targets. Prototyping and Testing : Build and test prototypes to verify design performance and reliability. Perform detailed design verification testing, including thermal analysis, EMI/EMC testing, and regulatory compliance. Technical Leadership : Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of power supply designs into final products. Documentation and Compliance : Prepare and maintain detailed design documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and user manuals. Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards and safety regulations. Project Management : Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality designs. Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing partners to optimize design for manufacturability. Qualifications: Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Experience : 8 years of experience in power supply design, focusing on DC/DC and AC/DC converters. Proven track record of designing power supplies up to 1kW. Technical Skills : Deep understanding of power electronics, magnetics, and thermal management. Proficiency in simulation tools such as SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, or equivalent. Hands-on experience with PCB design software (e.g., Altium, Eagle, OrCAD). Familiarity with regulatory standards (e.g., UL, IEC, CE). Soft Skills : Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with digital control of power supplies. Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments.
