Global – Look for SAP Technical Project Manager – Europe – 6 months - Freelance Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced SAP Technical Project Manager – S/4HANA to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex technical SAP S/4HANA projects.
This role requires deep technical expertise in SAP landscapes, strong project management skills, and the ability to coordinate across cross-functional and technical teams—including BASIS, infrastructure, development, and integration.
Responsibilities
* Lead the technical delivery of SAP S/4HANA projects including system migrations, upgrades, integrations, and custom developments.
* Develop and maintain detailed project plans, technical timelines, and resource allocations.
* Act as a key liaison between business, SAP functional teams, technical teams and external vendors.
* Coordinate SAP S/4HANA technical architecture design, including cloud/on-prem infrastructure, security, and interfaces.
* Ensure alignment with SAP best practices, Activate methodology, and company IT standards.
* Monitor project progress, identify risks and technical issues, and ensure timely resolution.
* Manage project budgets, timelines, and deliverables;
report status to stakeholders and executive leadership.
Qualifications
* 8 years of experience managing SAP technical projects, with at least 3 years in S/4HANA environments.
* Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations, migrations, or upgrades (Greenfield or Brownfield).
* Solid knowledge of project management frameworks (e.G., Agile, Waterfall, SAP Activate).
* Proficient in tools like SAP Solution Manager, Charm, Jira, ServiceNow, and project tracking software.
* Soft Skills: Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
* Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
* Leadership and mentoring experience with technical teams.
