Summary
Our Associate Director, IT Solution Delivery is a senior specialist responsible for project delivery and operations within a specific business sub-capability. The role involves partnering with business leaders and Technology Transformation Strategic Business Partners for demand analysis, solution proposal and evaluation, and project delivery.
The role's primary focus is configuring the Statistical Compute Environment (SCE) according to defined requirements, as part of the Prototyping and Development workstream. Responsibilities include configuring off-the-shelf products, developing customizations, and integrating IT solutions to meet business needs and deliver outcomes. Collaboration with project teams is essential to deliver the SCE on time and within budget.
About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a small team of developers for the SCE project, configuring, customizing, and integrating components iteratively.
* Design, develop, and deliver the SCE, ensuring alignment with solution architecture and operational requirements.
* Take accountability for specific components and use cases of the SCE.
* Ensure designs adhere to architectural roadmaps and support operational needs.
* Coordinate peer reviews and obtain business sign-offs for detailed designs.
* Ensure designs meet high-level conceptual architecture and trace back to functional and non-functional requirements.
* Consider user experience in designing solutions and services.
* Ensure compliance with security and policies within Service Delivery scope.
* Coordinate with other workstreams to deliver a high-quality SCE on schedule and within budget.
Key Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
* At least 7 years of experience in IT, with a background in quantitative science/data science platforms and delivering global solutions.
* Strong experience with AWS cloud implementations.
* Knowledge of Lean/6 Sigma, Design Thinking, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
* Experience leading teams in a matrix environment, leveraging digital tech and change management.
* Expertise in IT Architecture, Systems Design, Integration, User Experience, and stakeholder analysis.
* Experience with open-source languages (R, Python, Julia), open-source tools (R Studio, Shiny), containerization (Docker), and CI/CD tools (Git, Bitbucket).
* Familiarity with build tools like Maven and Jenkins.
* Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
* Experience in biostatistics, pharmaceutical industry, or related fields, with understanding of clinical trial processes and data standards (CDISC).
* Knowledge of AI/ML and tools like Domino.
