The Role
As a Mobile DevOps Technology Specialist, you will work on the mobile technology powering the Nespresso business, including eCommerce and IoT landscapes. You will be part of a large development organization with direct impact to the online business and will act as a technical reference for Nespresso mobile applications, focusing on the release process and DevOps practices and tools. You will guide and promote the use of processes and technology to support the cost-effective delivery of business requirements within your area of expertise.
You will be responsible for overseeing the release process of our mobile applications, ensuring smooth publication to app stores, collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline the release cycle and improve overall quality, and leveraging DevOps tools and practices while driving improvements.
In This Role, You Will
* Drive our near shore partner team of DevOps engineers.
* Implement and maintain release automation tools and processes for CI, CD, and monitoring of mobile applications.
* Ensure synchronization of release squads with developers and delivery coordinators.
* Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to understand release requirements and ensure timely delivery of high-quality releases.
* Monitor and troubleshoot release-related issues, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
* Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
* Collaborate with app store teams to ensure compliance with guidelines and security standards for mobile applications.
* Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in mobile release management and DevOps.
What We’re Looking For
* Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience as a Release Engineer, DevOps engineer or similar role in mobile applications.
* Strong knowledge of mobile development and release processes for iOS and Android.
* Proficiency with release automation tools such as Jenkins, Fastlane, or similar.
* Familiarity with Git and JIRA.
* Knowledge of mobile app signing, provisioning, and app store submission processes.
* Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and experience in Agile / Scrum teams.
* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional work.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
* Effective communication in English at different levels in the organization.
