The role, with an important Fintech component, is a key part of the Legal team, managing and advising on risk and legal liability for the group, as a Travel Tech Company, to support our growth plans. You will assist the Fintech / Insurtech Team with the setup and implementation of initiatives according to the roadmap, ensuring effective development of strategic projects.
You will advise the Fintech / Insurtech Team on daily business decisions, review contracts from a commercial perspective, and consider the worldwide regulatory framework. Providing preventive legal counsel, you will identify, monitor, and advise on legal risks within the area.
Legal assistance will include assessing risks of new initiatives from commercial and regulatory perspectives, and monitoring new regulations impacting HBX activities.
You will also coordinate with departments such as Tax, Compliance, HR, and IT Security to provide aligned legal advice to the Fintech / Insurtech Group.
Essential skills include strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in English, with Spanish being desirable. You should have strong organizational and analytical skills, capable of managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Qualifications include previous experience as in-house counsel in a multinational company dealing with Fintech matters, or experience in a Fintech law firm. A law degree from a reputable institution is required, with a Master or specialization in Fintech Law being desirable. Experience in Legal Fintech is required, and familiarity with Data Protection is a plus.
Business-level proficiency in English is required.
